The requirements

1. Building between two important public places: the Museum of History and Cabecera Park.
2. Café and restaurant to be two separated areas.
3. Materials have to be concrete and timber.

The solution

The project was designed as two staggered blocks to clearly separate both places and their functions. They are connected by a corridor in the middle, letting the access from both sides of the building. These blocks are sharing the toilets and the kitchen.

In one block, next to the museum, it is the café. On the other block, the restaurant enjoys excellent views over the park.
